Benfield Motor Group Celebrates 55 Years in the Business

England 17/08/2012- The Benfield Motor Group has seen a lot change in the UK motoring market

The Benfield Motor Group was founded in 1957. At first, they only operated in the North East of England. Today, they have 30 showrooms, many of which they opened or refurbished as part of their £20 million investment programme. Over that time, they have seen a lot of change in the motoring industry. Their customers expect more from their cars and want as much choice as possible, which is one reason they sell so many different brands of car.

Over the years, they have nurtured close working relationships with several large car firms including Renault, Volkswagon, Lexus, Ford, Hyundai, Nissan and many more. They have been awarded Preferred Partner Status for Renault and Nissan in Tyneside, Cumbria and Northumberland. Their six Volkswagen dealerships and three dedicated commercial vehicle VW dealerships makes them the biggest UK Volkswagen dealer.  They have also won several awards including the Automotive Management QSI Awards in 1999 and The Gold QSI Award for large dealer groups in 2001.
