LocallyEV, The UK’s Most Comprehensive EV-Specific Online Portal, Launches

Locally Electric Vehicles

LocallyEV (LEV) is pleased to announce the latest launch of its LocallyEV Directory – your directory for all things EV.

LEV’s latest e-development now makes the resource the most comprehensive EV supplier and retailer directory in the UK.

In the context of our future lifestyles, the paradigm shift and transition with our mindsets over the course of 2020-21 has proven timely.

With the emphasis on a new “green economy,” the encouragement to live and act sustainably and be more environmentally conscious, LocallyEV aims to help effect and advocate such change.

About LocallyEV

LocallyEV is an electric vehicle (EV) centric business directory committed to everything and all EV.

Launched as a catalyst for change by not only helping existing, new, and emerging EV businesses connect with both a growing audience of EV users, LEV’s resource aims to encourage change from a much broader perspective – this being with respect to overarching climate change goals, net zero targets, and the advocation of greener and sustainable ways of living.

LEV’s core ethos involves playing its own part in this process by helping to improve EV awareness and providing insight amongst EV consumers, whilst supporting increased EV uptake in conjunction with UK policy goals.

By 2030, the UK Government expects all sales of new petrol and diesel cars and vans to end – and by 2035, all new cars and vans to be emissions free.

In December 2021, the sale of electric cars in Europe overtook diesel models for the first time according to estimates and last year alone, electric car sales boomed as a bright spot for the industry as sales rose from 108,000 in 2020.

Motor Manufacturers and Traders

According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Britons bought more electric cars throughout 2021 than in the previous five years combined.

With continued growth anticipated, gigafactories (EV battery production factories) have proven to be a major topic of discussion and would help cement the UK’s position at the forefront the EV revolution – one example being the outline planning permission was granted at Coventry Airport just recently for such a development.

In light of recent events, timing really is everything for LocallyEV.

The LEV Directory Aims

The LEV directory aims to help enhance the profile and exposure of all EV businesses along with their related products and services, whilst enabling greater engagement between such businesses and the growing EV consumer/customer network.

LEV co-founder, Alan Edginton, commented on the latest venture:

“The main goal of the team and brand LEV is about achieving enlightenment before profits. Climate change, net zero targets, and emissions reduction are at the heart of this ‘green economical’ shift and it’s inexorable.

Governments, policymakers, and multinational corporations around the world have set some ambitious targets and timeframes for fulfilling various objectives – the year 2030 is one of those key milestones.

Future Transitions

“Some international car manufacturers have overtly made commitments and set the wheels in motion for making their entire model offerings fully electric by then; therefore, for consumers, the reality is a case of adapting to these future transitions – adjusting their longer-term perspective of the world – meaning that a broad societal, mindset shift in their expectations is needed.

“At LEV, we recognise that the EV sector requires greater levels of marketing, promotion, and engagement amongst participants. LEV is about local accessibility – supplying a platform that offers engagement between businesses and consumers locally – cultivating awareness of local options and services.

This itself, we hope, at least serves as a catalyst for ‘greener’ thinking and living – and more importantly, a stepping-stone for doing so.

EV-Based Businesses

“Our aim was and is continually to create and cultivate a highly comprehensive resource for growing EV-based businesses and its EV consumers in the UK… a go-to hub… one in which builds a sense of community between the business and the customer – this in turn, helping to support, promote, inform, and deliver relevant information to the market in light of the changing trends today.

For the future and as one of society’s stakeholders, I believe that LEV can help make a real contribution.”

About LocallyEV:

LEV was established in early 2021 as a forward-thinking brand, specialising in the electric vehicle sector.

With the creation of its LocallyEV Directory, the LEV brand was founded as a catalyst for helping effect both fundamental and future changes in the way we live and relate to our broader environment through the support for EV based businesses as a gateway to connect with the environmentally conscious consumer.

LEV hope to offer consumers accessibility to local EV services, ranging from electric vehicles suppliers and traders, part providers, charging points, charger suppliers, ancillary services, and beyond.
