SEO Consult Reacts to Matt Cutts’ Comments Regarding The Uploading of Huge Numbers of Web Pages In Short Period Of Time

Cheshire, United Kingdom (19th April 2013) – SEO Consult has reacted to a recent video presented by Google’s Head of Web Spam regarding the implications of uploading hundreds of pages of content all at once.

Responding to a web master’s question asking whether they should “add an archive of hundreds of thousands of pages all at once or in stages,” Matt Cutts outlined what he believes would be the best course of action.

Cutts suggested that Google “should be able to handle and process it either way,” but did warn that if Google “sees a lot of pages or lots of things ranking on a site all of a sudden, then the Manual Web Spam team might take a look at it.” Cutts went on to advise the webmaster to stage his page uploads if it didn’t make any difference when they needed to be published.

SEO Consult is a specialist search marketing agency which works with clients to ensure that all work adheres to Google’s best practise guidelines. This latest video has been received positively by the agency.

“If one our clients is also in the process of upgrading their website or indeed in the process of having a new one built, the issue of uploading their old web pages and content is something that will need resolving,” said Liane Grimshaw, Managing Director of SEO Consult. “We always enjoy hearing what Cutts has to say and we will definitely look at how we go about uploading masses of pages for our clients going forward.”
