The Smart Energy Company Go On the Road

England 08/06/2012 – The Smart Energy Company has decided to spend more time educating the public face to face about solar energy

The Smart Energy Company have already fitted a lot of different systems to domestic properties, however the majority of their work has been carried out on public buildings and business premises. This made them realise that they needed to do more to educate homeowners within their catchment area about the benefits of solar energy to get them interested in investing in solar power. As a result, they made the decision to take a trade stand at this year’s Duncombe Park Country Fair, near Helmsley, which was held on 4th June.

Unfortunately, the weather was not great. It was not awful, but the showers kept people away. However, despite the mixed weather a lot of people did stop and show an interest in what The Smart Energy Company had to offer. Members of the public seemed receptive and were happy to chat about solar in detail. For The Solar Energy Company the chance to meet such a big range of people, and find out what their current thoughts and feelings were about solar was a great opportunity.

The fact that they install Solar PV systems as well as Solar Thermal systems helped to raise interest. Solar PV systems, which are designed to provide homes with hot water using the power of the sun were the most widely, installed form of solar system installed in Europe during 2011. Overall, the solar PV capacity across Europe increase by 63% last year.

The Smart Energy Company extends their range

At the fair The Smart Energy Company were able to show off more of their new range of panels. They are working in conjunction with Romag solar panel manufacturers to provide customers with the chance to buy tailor made panel systems, which are designed to make maximum use of any roof space.

Perhaps the most interest was shown in the new clear solar panels The Smart Energy Company is planning to offer soon. These panels are ideal for a conservatory or atrium. They produce energy whilst still letting natural light in.
