Madrid, Spain (15th April, 2013) – Dream Glass® Group, a global leader in the manufacture, supply and installation of Dream Glass® intelligent glass, announce their privacy glass has passed APPLUS tests.
APPLUS, one of the leading companies in testing, inspection and certification, recently undertaken some underwater tests on Dream Glass® Group’s privacy glass to ensure it is efficient for use in countless applications. Following the successful experiments, the privacy glass can now be incorporated into many interior designs and has led to a significant growth in sales.
One of the latest applications Dream Glass® Group can offer as a result of the underwater test is bathroom partitions which divide the bathroom from the bedroom. Therefore, a person can easily attain a feeling of spaciousness as the partitions can be switched from opaque to clear, and vice versa, at the flick of a switch.
The underwater testing has led to Dream Glass® Group being granted an IPX7 certificate, and they have also passed tests for Norm 60335/2/105 for mechanisms in humid areas. For this reason, the privacy glass is now available for use in bathrooms, spas, interior pools and other humid areas. In addition to the underwater testing by APPLUS, Dream Glass® Group also carried out some in-house tests.
A spokesperson for Dream Glass® Group commented: “APPLUS commenced exhaustive tests on our panels to ensure they were suitable for use in bathrooms, spas and humid areas, and we are delighted to announce we have been awarded an IPX7 certificate. As a result, this will enable us to offer privacy glass for a variety of applications as well as expanding our customer base.”
