The Garador Guardian Range is the only up and over garage door with Secured by Design (SBD) certification, the official police security initiative. SBD is owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and only awards SBD status to products that pass their testing procedures. The doors have been tested to STS 202 Security Technical Specification in order to achieve this accreditation.
Guardian Range doors have lock body protection, an anti-snap cylinder, high security bracing, and improved lock security. These garage doors come with a pre-fitted steel frame although cannot be fitted to a custom made timber frame. There is no opening mechanism on the inside and they are not suitable for automation, although they can come with either canopy or retractable mechanism. They come in standard widths from 6’6” to 9’0” wide and in standard heights of 6’0” to 70’0” high.
The company are also offering Aluroll insulated roller garage doors on which the customer can add a Secure by Design upgrade to the Elite range, which has also been approved by the LPCB (the insurance agents security certification). This door is fully automatic and made-to-measure with high security auto-locking as standard.
