Newport, United Kingdom (10th October, 2012) – GT Decorations, a leading silk and artificial flower retailer and wholesaler, announce plans to introduce a new and improved delivery service.
GT Decorations are committed to providing their customers with an unrivalled service, which is why they are set to introduce a new tracked delivery service. While they have received glowing feedback in relation to their current delivery service, there were instances in the past when busy periods or poor weather conditions slowed down the arrival of a customer’s order. However, the new Royal Mail Tracked® service will aim to rectify this problem, as it has four tracking points during delivery to provide more information on a delivery time.
The Tracked® delivery service was tried and tested by GT Decorations two years ago but, at the time, they believed it wasn’t mature enough for the company’s needs. At present, GT Decorations are using Royal Mail 1st class or 1st class recorded delivery for most orders, but recorded delivery is only tracked once the parcel is delivered and non-recorded isn’t tracked at any stage. The rate for recorded delivery has also increased and edged higher than that of Tracked®, so they won’t need to charge their customers a penny extra for the improved service.
As well as a more effective delivery service, GT Decorations has recently completed a free ‘Safeplace’ option on their website, so customers can now specify where their parcel should be left if they are unavailable.
A spokesperson for GT Decorations commented: “We plan to trial Royal Mail’s Tracked® delivery service to provide a quicker and more reliable service to our customers. The service is scheduled to start late October, and will therefore offer more dependable Christmas deliveries.”
