United Kingdom (20th November, 2012) – Ishida Europe, a leading supplier of automated weighing and packaging equipment, is providing a unique packaging solution to increase a popular confectionery company’s efficiency levels.
Ishida Europe is now providing POEX Velké Meziříčí, a leading Czech confectionery manufacturer, with a new packaging solution to deliver excellent accuracy and end of line inspection for their product line. The multi-head weigher, check-weigher and X-ray inspection system will enhance the product quality as well as increasing the packaging capacity.
POEX approached Ishida Europe due to their satisfied experience with the leading packaging solution supplier, as they have used both their linear weighers and volumetric fillers in the past. Both companies are therefore confident that the latest R-Series model will deliver best-in-class speed and accuracy.
POEX reported that they produced 40 packs per minute with their previous line; however, with Ishida Europe’s R-Series models, they are now achieving 75 packs per minute of chocolate nuts, dried fruit and more. The X-ray inspection system can also detect tiny particles that could potentially contaminate confectionery.
A spokesperson for Ishida Europe commented: “We have worked in unison with POEX for many years now, and are delighted to provide them with our new R-Series models which have improved their packaging efficiency by nearly 90%, and have a typical output performance of five tonnes of confectionery per shift. However, our system hasn’t compromised on quality, as the multi-head weigher is nearly 100% accurate and the checkweigher can ensure compliance with weight regulations.”
