Liverpool, UK (July 2013) – The Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) is set to bring live music to venues across Liverpool this August.

Liverpool has found renewed vitality in recent years as one of the cultural centres of the north-west of England. This summer is no different, with a packed itinerary of events planned for the upcoming Liverpool International Music Festival.

LIMF 2013 is due to begin on Sunday, August 18th, and while some ticketed events are already sold out, there are plenty of sessions planned that are neither ticketed, nor charge an entry fee.

Throughout LIMF 2013, O’Neill’s in Hanover Street is hosting free live music, with no entry fee or ticket required. At Lathom Hall, Seaforth, there’s a free exhibition of Beatles memorabilia dating from the 1940s-60s, and honouring the fact that the Beatles performed at Lathom Hall in person on May 14th 1960.

For youngsters, there is Little Liverpool at the Museum of Liverpool, open every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout LIMF 2013, with music sessions for under-7s. Or for something a little different, the LIMF Pop Up Gallery at Albert Dock has photography, artwork and spoken-word performances, again for free, from midday until 7pm every Sunday from August 18th to September 22nd.

    Where to Stay
With such a busy schedule ahead, the best hotels in Liverpool are likely to be booked up, so it’s worth reserving a room promptly if you’re planning to attend LIMF 2013.

Centrally located hotels put you within easy access of many of the LIMF venues, along with plenty of transport options if you want to travel to any of the venues on Liverpool’s outskirts.

Look for special offers on short breaks in Liverpool hotels, or family tickets with discounted rates for children, and you can potentially enjoy a longer stay in the city, without facing a higher price.

LIMF 2013 is bound to bring a large number of tourists into this north-west city of culture – and by booking early you can get your whole family involved in the fun, without facing the disappointment of your favourite hotel being booked up.
