Berkshire, United Kingdom (12th February, 2013) – Mizuno, an internationally renowned provider of running shoes, have launched the latest edition of their flagship running shoes, the Wave Rider 16.
The Japanese company, which was founded in 1906, state that the Wave Rider 16 is their most iconic running shoe to date and is lighter, faster and smoother than ever before. The shoes have been used as part of Mizuno’s ‘Moments’ campaign and contain several innovative improvements.
Dynamotion fit is a number of strategically positioned support panels in the shoe that are placed to ensure a better fit to the runner’s foot. This technology has been developed to provide support and improve the way the foot moves throughout the stride. Another advancement is SR Touch technology. Part of this is the new SmoothRide Foam, a shock absorbing compound which is lighter and more responsive than its predecessor, the VS-1.
The Wave Rider 16 is lighter than its previous incarnation, weighing in at 280g compared to the 310g of the Wave Rider 15, thanks to the reengineering of lighter materials, support straps and mesh construction.
