    It comes after a recent study published by Google revealed the latest trends of smartphone usage whilst in store. The search giant found that 79 per cent of smart phone owners are now smartphone shoppers and that 84 per cent of these people use their devices to assist them whilst they are shopping in a store. The study also found that the average time a shopper spends on their smartphone to help them in store is 15 minutes, and that shoppers choose search to assist them on their buying journey, followed by brand and store websites.

    Price comparison, offers/promotions, opening hours and location are the main reasons why shoppers turn to their smartphones for assistance. Mobile search and ads can often be the difference between making a sale or not, whilst others can negotiate themselves a better deal when they have evidence on their phone of better deals and price differences elsewhere.
