The Nissan Qashqai is to be upgraded to ensure that sales of the model remain high
The Nissan Qashqai has been a remarkable success. It was only launched in 2007 and already more than a million have been sold. This car was originally designed for the European market where it has done well, especially in Nordic countries. In Russia, it has only been available for a couple of years and is already outselling many of its rivals. However, it has also sold particularly well in Japan and the Middle East. It has not yet been made available in North America where the Nissan Rouge is available instead.
The car drives like a sedan, but has a high ride height giving the driver an exceptional view of the road. Inside it has plenty of space and is a very comfortable vehicle. The seven seat versions are exceptionally comfortable. It has a fantastic safety record and standards something European consumers, in particular, really appreciate. The choice of five engine sizes across 4 slightly different models, the Visia, Acenta, N-Tec and Tekna means there is a Qashqai out there for every individual or family group.
Without a doubt, the fact that Nissan have already tweaked the car twice has improved its appeal and made it attractive to even more consumers. This is a trend that is set to continue with rumours that Nissan will be changing the look of the car in the next two years.
The Nissan Qashqai continues to win awards
From the start, the Quashqai was recognised as a special car and it began to win awards soon after it was launched in 2007. Its most recent award has come from What Car? Who awarded it their Best 4×4 and SUV under £25,000 award in 2012. It had previously won the Used Car of the Year award from CAP in 2010 and 2011 as well as the What Car? Small Family Car of the Year 2011 and the Overall Winner 2011 award.
