St Helens, United Kingdom (22nd October, 2012) – Springfield Mobile, a leading UK manufacturer of portable buildings for use in the education, business and sports sectors, announce plans to ship a 10 tonne unit across the North Sea.
Springfield Mobile has recently completed what they believe to be the biggest ever single mobile building manufactured in the UK. The unit weighs in at approximately 10 tonnes and is an astounding 18m x 3.9metres. As a result, it was nicknamed by staff as “The Beast” and soon became the trade name for future units of this size.
The Beast is expected to be shipped across the North Sea to one of Europe’s biggest distributors, and will then be transported for use as additional office space for a regular client. The unit is also as impressive in its specification and features as it is in its scale, as it offers a removable jack leg unit for ease of movement and also requires limited foundations.
Built with comfort in mind, The Beast has a high ceiling for its occupants and exceptional U-value properties. Therefore, the unit offers superb protection from the elements by reducing heat loss during the winter months, and can contain heat during the summer to keep offices cool.
A spokesperson for Springfield Mobile commented: “We are delighted to announce the completion of our new 10 tonne unit, which will now be transported across the North Sea. The Beast is a testament to our innovative design team and skilled workforce, as they continually push the boundaries in mobile building with their constant search for progress, development and improvement.”
