Lancashire, United Kingdom (18th February, 2013) – PHC Law, specialist personal injury solicitors who take cases on a no win no fee basis, have secured £4,050 compensation for a robbery assault victim.

A man in his 30s has been awarded compensation for significant injuries to the face following in assault which took place whilst on his way home from work.

The applicant turned to PHC Law for legal help to make a criminal injuries compensation claim with the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).

Louise Kenny, a criminal injury law specialist said the victim sustained a fracture to the eye socket and cheekbone after he had his bag and contents stolen when he was attacked and robbed. The victim had to undergo surgery to his face, requiring a plate to be inserted into the cheekbone.

“As a result of these injuries the applicant’s University degree course was also affected”, said Miss Kenny. My client also continued to suffer some vision problems that affected his personal life and education”.

Following full investigations of the circumstances of the incident and the injuries suffered by the applicant, by obtaining information from the relevant Police and medical authorities, the applicant’s case was assessed by the Government agency and the applicant was awarded the sum of £4,050.00.

The applicant was compensated for his 2 most serious injuries under the multiple injuries scheme. Miss Kenny said: “My client is beginning to make a good recovery from his injuries but has been left with some symptoms in the face which will always be there. I am happy my client received the most compensation he could receive for his injuries. Although no amount of money can fully compensate for the pain and suffering both my Client and his Family have endured. I would advise anyone who has been the victim of an assault or crime to not suffer in silence and to seek legal action.”
