Liverpool, UK (1st October, 2012) – Summer is over and students are back at university, so Liverpool ONE has a seriously stylish Student Takeover week planned.
From Monday 1 – Friday 5 October, students are taking over Liverpool ONE. For five days, there will be music on the streets and bargains in shops and restaurants with discounts ranging from 10 – 25%.
The action will peak on Wednesday 3 October when DJs will perform on Paradise Street from 1pm – 8pm. Stores will also hold events with live music as well as discounts, complimentary drinks, giveaways and even an opportunity to win a European city break for two.
From 10pm there will be an after party at Medication, the student clubbing experience, where the fun will continue.
Liverpool ONE will be asking students to strike a pose while it goes Style Spotting on 3 October at both Liverpool ONE and at Medication. The Style Spotters will be taking pictures of the most stylish students and projecting them onto the big screen in Medication throughout the night. They’ll also be uploaded onto the official Liverpool ONE and Medication Facebook galleries, with the city’s most stylish student winning some fabulous prizes.
Liverpool ONE’s Big Red Chair will also be at Liverpool ONE and at Medication, so students can take a seat and say what they think on camera; a selection of the best videos will feature on the official YouTube channel. Students will be asked, ‘What are you going to spend your student loan on?’ and ‘What do you love most about Liverpool?’
