Chichester, UK (14th August, 2012) – ANS Group Europe, leading designers of indoor and outdoor living walls, is set to install an interior living wall on a ship for Crystal Cruises, one of the word’s must luxurious cruise line companies.
ANS Group Europe has designed the living wall for an alfresco dining area, using a varied and diverse selection of subtropical plants. This is the first living wall ever to be installed on a cruise ship, and will receive regular maintenance by an on-board florist team. The wall is designed in a world map format, and the captain will visit it throughout the voyage to place an extra plant as a mark of the ship’s current location; this will allow passengers to follow their cruise’s route in a unique way. The living wall itself will be 11.5m long and 2.4m high, with a total m2 of 27.6.
