Liverpool based BCL Legal – one of the leading legal recruitment consultancies outside London – is continuing its robust expansion drive after announcing it placed 10% more candidates in the first six months of 2012 across Merseyside and Cheshire. The company also registered over 100% more candidates during the same period.
The firm, which has sister offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Reading and Bristol, placed 50 candidates in total which represents a notable increase as it was up from 45. It also registered a total of 581 legal professionals compared to 258 the year before.
Whilst the demand for solicitors and paralegals within the large insurance teams remains consistently high, BCL Legal has seen an increased need across the commercial, corporate, real estate, commercial litigation and employment sectors.
Mary Nowell, senior associate at BCL Legal’s Liverpool office, said; “These results are interesting as they show an increase in demand for talented lawyers and legal professionals in the region. We’ve really tried to raise our profile and that’s reflected in these numbers. We see Liverpool, Merseyside and Cheshire as key growth areas so our aim is to build on this view over the next couple of quarters.”
