The Lighting Superstore have tried and tested various LED GU10 and GU5.3 spot light bulbs over the past few years, and have found that most fail to reach half of the quoted performance levels promised by the manufacturer. Some of the specifications used to advertise these products were found to be exaggerated and not representative of actual performance.
The leading interior and exterior lighting retailer came to the conclusion that as many as 90% of the models they tested were simply not good enough. When the ability to control the light level with a dimmer switch was factored in, the odds were shortened even further.
